Our Patient and Customer Care Team

Charlene

Charlene has been building relationships and assisting veterinarians for over 30 years. She enjoys making a positive impact on your pet’s health and taking the time to talk to pet parents about how they can help enhance their pet’s lives. She got an early start in comforting pets at the local shelter when she was just 7 years old.

She has 3 dogs, each lovingly described as either nutty or crazy, including an American Bulldog that’s as big as a horse (but thinks it’s a lap dog) and a Pomsky (yes, a Pomeranian x Husky) that does zoomies! In her spare time, Charlene enjoys exciting activities with friends and family, especially restaurants, and has recently conquered a 5K foam fest!

Gwen with a black and white cat

Dong, RVT

Dong has been passionate about animal care, anesthesia, and surgery since high school. He attended Sheridan College, graduating in 2022, and was certified as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2023. Working at TIAH is a new journey for him in understanding more about Integrative Medicine, including acupuncture.

He has 2 lovely cats who provide enjoyable moments at home. He loves to explore, study philosophy, and play games and sports. Dong is fluent in Vietnamese.

Gwen with a black and white cat

Gwen

Gwen has loved animals for as long as she can remember; one of her first words was “kitty”! She has always found a way to care for animals. This love and appreciation for animal health and wellbeing has led her to TIAH. She is excited to continue to learn more about integrative care each day. Being able to help pet parents and their furry family brings her so much joy. Connecting with like-minded individuals, and sharing her knowledge excites her and makes work hardly feel like a job. Gwen loves to talk about nutrition and enrichment options and how to understand animal body language.

She grew up with three beautiful Bengal cats, a budgie, an aquarium, degus, and a mouse. She has also opened her door to two big tom cats who previously lived on the streets.

Kelly

As a young child, Kelly had a passion for caring for pets, injured wildlife, and the animals on her family farm back in Portugal. Her passion brought her to our practice where she enjoys talking to clients about pet care and getting to know all the personalities of their pets.

She has a cat, Bean, who, although is sometimes stand-offish, certainly has her sweet moments. She also has a charming pug named Rico who loves to give kisses. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys special time with friends at restaurants, playing video games, and walking in search of special landscapes. Kelly is fluent in Portuguese.

Victoria holding her cat, Dusty

Victoria

Victoria has been a part of our team for over 10 years. She’s been a co-op student, graduated with an Honors Biology degree, and is also applying to vet school! Victoria is passionate about feline medicine and using diagnostics to help solve complex medical issues. She has a special touch with pets and enjoys teaching pet parents how to help their pets enjoy long happy lives.

She has 3 loving and “spicey” cats and provided a warm extended vacation home for our clinic cat, Lilly. Victoria enjoys sightseeing and long drives with friends and family, as well as movie theatres and vegan restaurants.

Vincent

Our Practice Manager at TIAH, he blends his passion for animal care with his training and expertise in Veterinary Science and Human Resources. With a deep-rooted love for animals cultivated since childhood, he finds fulfillment in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, where compassionate care meets professional excellence.

Outside the clinic he shares his life with a charming Portuguese Water Dog named Bear, who not only brightens every day but also serves as a constant reminder of the joy and responsibility of caring for animals. In his leisure time he finds happiness going out and trying new foods, but feels nothing quite compares to the simple pleasure of unwinding at home surrounded by the warmth of family and furry companionship
